Sherman

Sherman boasts a historic and colorful downtown square surrounding the Grayson County Courthouse, built in 1936. Visitors enjoy browsing the downtown shops of Kelly Square, as well as other boutiques, restaurants and antique stores on Travis Street. In addition to the shops around the square, downtown Sherman also features the Municipal Building, once a part of Kidd-Key College. The Kidd-Key auditorium is housed here and was the subject of a multi-million dollar renovation in recent years.

There are many beautiful historic homes in Sherman, including the C. S. Roberts House and Museum on Crockett Street's Heritage Row. In addition, the Red River Historical Museum offers visitors a look at Sherman and Grayson County's bygone times.
